EXPRESS YOURSELF TOURNAMENT - LA CREATIVITE AU RENDEZ VOUS AVEC LES SUEDOIS!

A l’occasion du  tournoi de danse international « Express Yourself »,  5000 personnes se sont réunis autour d’une même passion, la danse, en décembre dernier à Bonneuil (94). Scène d’expression libre pour les danseurs, la compétition a tenu ses promesses pour cette 4^ème édition intitulée « Golden Tournament | 2009 The next level ». Une ambiance chaleureuse, des groupes de tous horizons, un public chaud bouillant et des chorégraphies créatives étaient au rendez vous de cette rencontre urbaine. Des présélections organisées avec le label Sually en juin dernier a permis la sélection de 12 groupes français et internationaux.

 

Dans une salle comble et prête à exploser, les groupes se succèdent sur scène, nous montrant l’étendue de leur talent avec des shows plus inventifs les uns que les autres. Et ce n’est pas un hasard si ce concours a autant de succès, l’implication du service municipal de la jeunesse de la ville y est pour beaucoup ! Grâce à eux la compétition a ainsi pu prendre une dimension internationale avec des groupes venus d’Allemagne, d’Italie et même de Suède.

 

Finalistes du tournoi, les « Twisted Feet », suivis de près par les allemands « Fanatix » et un groupe français ont fait sensation ! Arrivés tout droit de Suède, ils ont enchanté le jury et le public avec un spectacle époustouflant de par  l’originalité des costumes, la  beauté de leur danse et une prestation à couper le souffle ! Freezmix a donc voulu en savoir un peu plus, et Stina, une des membres du groupe, a eu la gentillesse de nous accorder cette interview.

 Maya LOUHICHI: Peux tu te présenter en quelques mots stp?

Stina BOJLING: Je m’appelle Stina Bojling et je suis une des membres du groupe Twisted Feet.

 

M.L: Comment votre présence à “L’Express Yourself” est arrivée?

S.B: Nous étions en contact avec Mamson (membre des  Wanted Posse & Serial stepperz crew)) qui nous a recommandé. C’est pourquoi l’organisateur nous a invités.

 

M.L: Qu’avez- vous pensé des autres shows de la compétition?

S.B: Ils étaient très bien, il y avait beaucoup de différentes saveurs et cultures.

 

M.L: Quel show avez vous préféré?

S.B: Nous avons aimé la performance des allemands (le groupe Fanatix) et un des groupes français qui dégageait beaucoup d’énergie (je ne me souviens plus de leur nom).

 

M.L: Comment avez vous créé votre chorégraphie?

S.B: Nous créons toujours ensemble nos chorégraphies, chacun est impliqué.

 

 

M.L: Que pensez-vous du niveau des danseurs Français?

S.B: Très élevé. J’aime énormément le style français. Ils ont une bonne musicalité et les danseurs maitrisent parfaitement la technique.

 

M.L: Quand avez vous commencé la danse?

S.B: Notre groupe Twisted Feet a débuté il y a 6 ans.

 

M.L: Comment vous êtes vous rencontré?

S.B: Trois d’entre nous étaient des élèves de Zerjon (un des membres). Puis je les ai rejoint  6 mois après, ensuite les autres ont intégré le groupe au long des années.

 

M.L: Pourquoi le nom “Twisted Feet” ?

S.B: Car nous avons des styles très différents, nous pouvons donc tout danser.

 

M.L: Qu’avez-vous pensé des évènements “Express Yourself” et “Versus Battle” auxquels vous avez participé?

 S.B: C’était TROOOP BIEN. Nous avons adoré la scène et le public ! Au battle nous n’étions pas d’accord avec le choix du jury mais cela fait parti du du battle.

Quant au reste nous avons énormément apprécié, les gens qui ont pris soin de nous, le spectacle, le battle…

 

M.L: Quand le jury ne vous a pas choisi au “Versus Battle”, nous avons entendu le public huer leur décision, qu’en avez vous pensé?

S.B: Comme je l’ai dis cela fait parti du battle.

Je n’ai pas aimé et personnellement je pense qu’on a gagné. Mais je n’étais pas juge…

Parfois tu gagnes et parfois tu perds. Ce qui est primordial c’est de s’éclater et nous l’avons fait !

 

M.L: Vos projets pour le futur?

S.B: Des battles en groupe et en solo!

On the occasion of the International Dance Tournament "Express Yourself", 5000 people gathered around a common passion, Dance, last December in Bonneuil (94). Scene of free expression for dancers, the competition has kept its promises for this 4th edition entitled "Golden Tournament | 2009 The Next Level."
A warm audience, dancers from all backgrounds and creative choreographies were the point of this urban dance event. In last June, presets were organized with the “Sually” label which led to the selection of 12 French and International groups.

 

In front of a delighted audience, dance crews succeeded on stage, showing us their talents and creative shows. But it’s not a coincidence that this contest is so successful, thanks to the involvement of municipal youth of the city! Thanks to them the competition was able to take an international dimension with groups from Germany, Italy and even Sweden.

 

Finalists of this tournament, the "Twisted Feet" crew, followed closely by a German and a French group enchanted us! Arriving straight from Sweden, they delighted the jury and audience with a breathtaking performance! This is why Freezmix wanted to know a little more about them, and Stina, a member of the group, was kind enough to give us this interview.

 Maya LOUHICHI: Can you introduce yourself in a few words please?

Stina BOJLING: My name is Stina Bojling and I am one of the eight members of the group Twisted feet.

 

M.L: How your presence at the “Express Yourself” happened?

S.B: We were in contact with Mamson who recommended us, so the organisator invited us.

 

M.L:  What did you think of the other shows in the “Express Yourself Tournament” competition?

S.B: They were really nice, a lot of different flavours and cultures.

 

M.L: Which show was your favourite?

S.B: We liked the German show (Fanatix crew) and one French group (I don’t remember the name), they had a lot of energy.

 

M.L: How was created your choreography?

S.B: We always choreograph together. So everyone is involved.

 

M.L: What do you think of the level of French dancers?

S.B: It’s really high, I like the French style very much. Musicality is so good and all dancers have a good technical.

 

M.L: When did you start dancing?

S.B: Twisted feet started 6 years ago.

 

M.L: How did you meet each others?

S.B: Three were students of Zerjon (one of the members).I joined the group after 6 month and we found the others over the years.

 

M.L: Why the name « Twisted Feet »?

S.B: Because we have a lot of different styles, so we can twist everything around.

 

M.L: What did you think of the “Express Yourself” and the “Versus Battle”?

S.B: SOOO NICE. We loved the stage and the people! At The battle we didn’t like the judge decision but that is part of the battle.

But the rest we loved, the people that took care of us, they really did everything right, the host, the shows, the battle…

 

 

 M.L: When the jury didn’t choose you at the “Versus Battle”, we heard the public deny the decision of the judges, what did you think?

S.B: As I said it’s a part of the battle. I didn’t like it and I think we won. But I was not the judge…. Some times you win some times you lose. The most important thing is to have fun and we did!

 

M.L: Your projects for the future?

S.B: Crew and solo battles!
